Helping a friend

If you look back through my blog, you will find mention after mention of my friend and her farm.  This is the place where I keep my second garden and get to watch the unobstructed sunsets that the city can't duplicate.

Anyway, the house was in complete disrepair when they purchased it which seemed to be the theme. See my previous post here.  It was rodent infested and basically not cleaned (yet still inhabited) for what looked like for 30 years.  Yet the bones of the house were good, great as a matter of fact.  It just needed some tender loving care.

Well after 2 years of trying to make the home inhabitable, the kitchen is still in disrepair.  Well they basically do not have a kitchen.  So what is a resourceful girl to do? Enter an HGTV contest of course.  Here is her link

So if you are so inclined, please just take a look.  Ms. M said "I promise it won't hurt my feelings if you rate us as "uber ugly." "

This will tremendously help a friend who has given so much to my family by allowing us to user her land.  The least I could do is pass along her link.

Speaking of gardens, have all of you received your seed catalogs.  I have been drooling buckets over all of the prospects for this year!

I looked, and tried to comment. I ended up commenting on it twice!! Oh well. The pictures are pretty gnarly. I hope they end up being able to get the house back to something they can love to live in. It looks like it has lots of potential.

I commented for them too, although I have no idea what HGTV is!

I commented on the pictures! Reminds me of my husbands Grandfather's house when pre tear down. It was entirely cosmetic, still quite a sight!

I've moved my blog over to my own domain, I'm now at check me out when you get a chance!

I would love to hear from you!
