Weekend update, The Memorial Golf outing

I didn't get much done in the way of the garden or greenhouse this weekend.  I looked at it and that is about it.  Mostly because we were gone and because the weather was cold and rainy all weekend. I decided to stay inside, make homemade chicken and noodles and bread.   I could tell however, that my pumpkin plants are starting to dry up which means they will be sitting on my deck pretty soon. We did harvest some green beans for the soup and a very very large yellow zucchini.

The reason we were gone was because we were attending the memorial golf outing that I had tried to raise money for back in August.  The fundraiser caused a 2 week hiatus from my garden and sent my blog into drought.  After this weekend, it was evident that all of the hard work, garden neglect and lack of sleep was worth it well beyond our time and effort.

It was a record fundraising year for the fund.  We hope to make next year even better and have a couple plans up our sleeves to do so.  Here is the website if you are interested http://www.cspmf.com/ and if you would like to take a look at some of the pictures from the outing here is the link.

I hope to get into the garden a little tonight and take a look around.  Maybe, just maybe tear some plants out.  We will see what I find when I get there.
