@meemsnyc, I call it an arbor but it could pass as a pergola the way it's set up. I will have to take more pictures of it. I have pole beans growing on both sides of it and eventually they will cover the entire thing. It leads to the back side of my garden.
We used left over landscaping and deck wood to build ours.
@meemsnyc, here is a better picture of the arbor of sorts http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_mTipPqg_pOA/TCURqJOHSdI/AAAAAAAAAJM/OaJ28EWzrFQ/s1600/DSCF5412.JPG. I know it looks like a mess but the picture is a before shot of what will soon be my lovely green house. You can tell repairs need to be made.
What a sweet little gardener helping Mommy water the flowers! The best thing is, she'll remember doing that when she's older, and maybe it will inspire her to start her own garden someday. OK, a long way off someday.
I am a busy mother of two who doesn't have time to check the PH balance of my soil. I believe in try, try again. If it doesn't work the first time, there is always tomorrow. I love passing on what I have learned as well as the fruits of my labor.
Pretty, is that a pergola? What is starting to grow on it? I'm trying to convince my husband to build one.
