Inexpensive dishwasher detergent
I love cost saving tips that I receive from my friends and as you will learn I am always eager to share them. I'm always looking for ways to save a penny here and a penny there, especially after the economy tanked.
A friend of mine posted a simple recipe for dishwasher detergent today that she says cuts the regular detergent cost in half and works just as well.
Here is the recipe:
Equal parts Borax and baking soda.
Thats it! Easy peasy!
She also included a variation of:
1/2 store bought dishwasher detergent, 1/2 borax, baking soda mixure.
Her reasoning is that some of the benefits provided in the store bought detergent, ie: streak free, may make the mixture that much better. Sounds reasonable enough to me! I personally haven't tried this yet but this comes from a very trusted source.
Thank you Ms. MD!
